Principal's Page

My name is Chris Benisch and I am honored to be your principal.  I have 2 boys, Daniel age 5 and Henry age 12.  My wife is a high school counselor in Louisville, Colorado.  My family and I enjoy camping, mountain biking, hiking and being outdoors.  I spend the large majority of my time playing lacrosse, mountain biking, coaching and spending time with family.

I come to you with over twenty three years of experience as an educator and absolutely love the work of the principal.  I began my career as a special education paraprofessional while volunteering at a local high school and working with students with severe needs.  Since that time, I have taught special education in a psychiatric treatment hospital and multiple public school settings for students with disabilities.  My experience as an elementary and middle school principal taught me the value of honoring our students, staff and community.  I believe that strong and healthy relationships with our students, parents, families, staff and community are the cornerstones of a successful school.

I continue to learn from the Lawrence students, staff and community.  Furthermore, I am incredibly impressed with the welcoming atmosphere, safe and nurturing environment, and high level of engagement that is present in the Lawrence community.  The sense of community is contagious.

I truly am thankful to continue to serve our community and know that Lawrence will continue to get better everyday!
