From RTD:
Parents, There have been recent reports of rocks thrown at trains along the G Line, jeopardizing the safety of the train operator and the community. Trespassing along the tracks and throwing objects at trains is not only dangerous, but is a criminal offense. RTD needs your help with educating children about safe behaviors on and around our transit system. Please take a few moments to review the following safety tips with your family:
• Do not try to touch or throw objects at the trains or overhead power lines.
• Never trespass on any train track - it is illegal and dangerous.
• Always look both ways before crossing the tracks - trains can travel from either direction at any time.
• Cross the tracks only at designated crossings, always follow safety signage and obey warning devices like flashing red lights and gate arms.
• Don't be distracted - avoid listening to music or using your phone while around trains and tracks. • Stay off station platforms until they are open to the public.
Thank you for your continued support in making our transit system safer for everyone.
